About mothers
she teaches us to love unconditionally
teach us how to be a good listening ear
how to handle the crisis
The air was heavy with odors of diarrhea,
mothers there had long ceased
to care but not this one she held'
God of peace for strength
loving god gentle guiding hand
she gives nourishment to her children
she has opened the eyes. Changed us. Remade us.
Out of the comfort zone
But then rebuilt into something new.
Even a nonbiological mother ~
giving all her warmth to a child,
purer than the lord above,
conceived or not, she loves from the soul.
God gave us one mother
to love and guide us.
When she needed help,
we have to return back.
There are many things about mother!
The one who brought me down to earth
and held me every day.
I have tried to write so many times,
it's been very hard to say in rhymes.
Thank you for your help with schooling
teaching me good habits and rules.
Thanks for your scolding wraps,
Your love around the heart
You guided me, sheltered me,
repaired and restored me.
A shoulder to cry on, secrets to share
Thanks to all my nonbiological mothers
what having you in my life has meant to me.
You repaired and restored me.
keeping me in your thoughts
Thanks, grandma, you always saw good in everyone
Thanks gave me to support "Cheriyamma/Chikkamma"
Thanks for following up with me "Valiyamma/Doddma"
blessed me in all the ways my own mother couldn’t.
